Making Markets Matter 2008

The 2008 Making Markets Matter workshop will take place in Somerset West, South Africa, on May 11-16, 2008. The workshop will offer representatives of small and medium enterprises from the African continent and those working with and providing support for SME enterprises the "best in business thinking" through comprehensive training modules and the latest thinking in business development services. Cost of attendance: Tuition is USD $1,250 (or South African rand equivalent); this covers instruction, books, supplies, tea breaks, lunches, and several special dinners. Housing, individual transportation and personal items are not included. The tuition payment is due by April 4, 2008. Cancellations must be made before April 11th and will receive a refund of 70% of the tuition. Alternatively, if you are unable to attend the workshop, your organization/company may send someone else in your place.

Venue: The workshop will take place at the Lord Charles Hotel (Corner Faure & Stellenbosch Roads, Somerset West 7130), where housing can be arranged at a special workshop rate of R845/night. Program: The workshop will host two groups of participants in 2008: those representing general agribusiness and those representing seed companies. To cater to the different needs of these two groups, some of the sessions will run parallel.
